December Wrap Up

It is the last day of the year my friends! I don’t really celebrate this occasion but I love to think of what I want to do within the next 365 days. What are your plans, your wishes? 2016 was the year I first had a reading challenge ahead of me – 100 books in one year – and I did great. I read a total amount of 152 books, more than I ever read before in such a time span. Though I have to admit that I’m not going to that next year. It was a lot of stress and I always felt I had to read books and books and more books. Next year I want to really enjoy reading again, slow reading, to feast on one book for a long time etc. This month I enjoyed reading The Snow Child, This Modern Love, the Fantastic Beasts Screenplay and The Alchemist. And I found one of my favourite books this year: The Secret History. Donna Tartt’s writing style is so compelling and wonderful! I also enjoyed that the book was so different from the books I normally read, it was no fantasy or YA story. It was dark and beautiful.

Enjoy my bookish wrap up for December:

Four – Veronica Roth 3.5 /5

The Graveyard Book – Neil Gaiman 4/5

To Kill a Mockingbird (RGRC) – Harper Lee 3.5/5

The Snow Child – Eowyn Ivey  5/5

The Canterville Ghost (reread)- Oscar Wilde 5/5

A Walk in the Woods – Bill Bryson 3.5/5

If I Stay – Gayle Forman  3/5

Me Before You – Jojo Moyes 4/5

Charlotte’s Web (RGRC) – E.B. White 3.5/5

The Old Man and the Sea – Ernest Hemingway 3/5

A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens 4/5

The Secret History – Donna Tartt 5/5

This Modern Love – Will Darbyshire 5/5

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Screenplay – J.K. Rowling 5/5

The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho 5/5

Have a nice last day of the year!

oh, and thank YOU (for all your support and love)!!
