Magical Places – Linoprint series

Long time no see on this blog here – I’m currently working on some new stuff for my shop and I’m busy with moving to Hamburg. You know, I have applied to the art university there months ago and now I got a letter in which it said, that I can study there next month. So, my dream of studying Illustration came true.

Anyways, I made some prints, poster (whatever you want to call them). I made two different ones for now, but I’m sure there will be more in the future – because linoprint is just too much fun! I printed them myself and then digitalised them, after that they were printed on heavy paper. On one you can see Hagrid’s cosy hut, welcoming you to spend a lovely and warm evening inside while you enjoy some rock cakes (that Hagrid made especially for you). The second one shows the Hogwarts Express before boarding – people trying to find their seats and loading their stuff in the train. A loud chatter of happy people everywhere accompanied by loud noises of different kinds of owls and cats.

And I also made some notebooks with a Harry Potter pattern.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

After spending the grey and cold Monday evening in the cinema watching Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them I am quite obsessed. Obsessed because the film was … well FANTASTIC.

Really, I didn’t thought I would enjoy it as much as I did (hint: mating dance). Eddie Redmayne is a wonderful, wonderful Newt Scamander. Quirky and utterly magical. Oh, and the way he cares about his magical creatures. I think he’s my new favourite wizard. I can’t wait to see the next film (because there are going to be five (five!!!!!)).

We're going to recapture my creatures
before they get hurt.
They're currently in alien terrain
surrounded by millions of
the most vicious creatures
on the planet; humans.

Till the next film, I’m going to read the Screenplay, which is beautiful by the way. But sadly I have to wait until Christmas, because I’ve bought enough books for … a looot of weeks (and there’s no money left). So, till Christmas I’m watching funny and cute Fantastic Beasts/Eddie Redmayne videos. Here are some of my favourites:

If you’re quite obsessed with Eddie right now (like me), here are some really good films with him:
The Pillars of the Earth

My Week with Marilyn

The Theory of Everything

The Danish Girl

Les Misérables

Will we die, just a little?
